Introducing ‘The People Plan’?
I have worked with a wide variety of businesses over the last 15 years helping them deal with their people problems such as performance issues, attendance, attitude etc… and what has struck me endless times is that these issues are all symptoms of other problems and not the problem itself.
As a specialist working with small – medium businesses it is fair to say that employees within these businesses have nowhere to hide, the best people stand head and shoulders above the others and mistakes are costlier when they happen. Business owners get frustrated that these problems seem to reoccur and impact their business and reputation yet continue to deal with the symptoms and not the problem.
I have developed ‘The People Plan’ starting with an audit that easily identifies the strengths and gaps / weaknesses in an organisation so that the business owner can plan more effectively to bridge that gap and strengthen the weaknesses – the result being a more profitable and motivational business to be a part of.
This all started when I thought about the employee journey from their perspective. What keeps great employees at a business and what forces great employees to move to another employer? It became apparent that there are phases through this employee journey which can all be systemised to give employers a much stronger chance to retain their best employees and grow stronger, more profitable teams.
We offer an audit to review this process with a business and the report resulting from this clearly identifies the strengths and weaknesses within the organisation and gives some clear actions on how to build on the foundations to make an even more successful and effective team.
